Phase 1 was completed in 1977 and includes the central 73 story tower and four 39 story towers. Phase 2, the two 21 story towers on the east side, was completed in 1984. Architect was John Portman. General Motors purchased the complex and completed a $500,000,000 renovation project in 2005.
